Your recovery kit
Lyzma keeps encrypted recovery copies of your library in your iCloud. Only your recovery kit can open them. Make it in Settings, under Recovery kit, then print it or save its file somewhere other than this iPhone. Lyzma cannot make a new kit that opens copies made with a lost one, and neither can we.
Moving to a new iPhone
Sign in to the same Apple Account and install Lyzma. When it finds a recovery copy in iCloud, it offers to restore it. Scan your printed kit, import its file, or type the code printed on it. Restoring works only while the new iPhone has no recordings or children in Lyzma yet.
iCloud
Recovery copies need iCloud Drive to be on for Lyzma, in the Settings app under your name, then iCloud. Lyzma's own Settings shows under iCloud whether it can reach iCloud.
Permissions
- Microphone: needed to record. Recording continues when the phone locks.
- Photos: lets Lyzma show the photos and videos you add, and save the ones you take with its camera. Without it, Lyzma keeps its own copy of what you add.
- Camera: takes photos and videos, and scans your printed recovery kit.
If you refused one, allow it again in the Settings app under Lyzma.
Sharing a story
A shared story opens in a browser for the people you invite, for up to 30 days. Each person asks for a code sent to their email address. You can stop sharing at any time, and the link stops working for everyone at once.
